For instance, the regular fare from Hyderabad to Tirupati in super luxury buses has doubled from 821 to 1,493 on January 12 and 13. Similarly, Lahari AC sleeper buses have experienced an increase in ticket prices from 1,493 to 2,223 during the same period. Notably, the fare for super luxury buses from Hyderabad to Ongole has tripled, soaring from 468 to 1,252. Private buses are also following suit, with fares for destinations like Bhimavaram ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 during the Sankranti period. Furthermore, airfares to popular destinations such as Vizag, Tirupati, and Rajahmundry have observed a sharp increase.
